Job Description
We are looking to appoint a Legal Counsel for our client from Technology space a pivotal role within the growing international commercial legal team that supports companys rapid global expansion. This position will be based in London with occasional business travels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Advise on legal aspects of companys international expansion with a key focus on ensuring compliance and leading compliance projects as well as providing commercial contract and negotiation support in the European region.
- Offer legal guidance to business teams on new business models strategies and legal aspects related to business operations and marketing activities.
- Negotiate draft and review contracts and commercial agreements.
- Conduct research on local laws and regulations and manage relationships with external legal counsel.
Requirements
- Legal qualification from an international jurisdiction and/or qualified in other jurisdictions with substantial experience in crossborder legal affairs.
- Around 48 years of postqualification experience at a law firm and/or corporation. Inhouse experience is not mandatory.
- Technology sector experience or a background in technology education would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Chinese and strong legal drafting skills in English. Knowledge of other languages is helpful but not required.
- Genuine interest in technology innovation and business.
- Highly motivated able to work independently and thrive under pressure.
- Demonstrates high integrity and a sincere desire to collaborate with others.
