Personal Profile

  • Well-spoken and presentable of sober habits
  • Computer literate in Microsoft office, outlook and Res Request (would be an advantage)
  • Ability to pre plan and think on their feet and problem solve
  • Very strong organisational skills have a proactive approach
  • Attentive host ability to communicate with international guests able to meet greet and room guests
  • Lead a team from the front be hands on ensure training takes place were needed lead by example
  • Strong communication skills ability to do this with all levels of staff.

Experience
  • Previous luxury safari lodge management – preferably 2+ years
  • Front of House and Operations Management
  • Training and upskilling of staff
  • Client Experience management

Duties
  • Perform administrative activities such as, attendance,rostersand managing records.
  • Ability to read and understand operations reports and meal plans
  • Monitor worker performance to ensure they are fulfilling standards of quality service and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge to guarantee the seamless functioning of all departments.
  • Review visitor comments and provide suggestions to management about any problems or concerns.
  • Assign room placements depending on visitor preferences and requirements, such as elevators or stairs.
  • Manage the personnel of the hotel, including recruiting, training, scheduling, workers as appropriate.
  • Manage and monitor lounge, housekeeping and laundry inventories.
  • Create and maintain strong ties with visitors and clients.
  • Suggest and new ideas
  • Evaluate employee performance and discuss with Lodge manager.
  • Ensure safety and respect for rules and regulations.
  • Prepare and manage schedules and shifts.
  • Assists with room inspections.
  • Respond rapidly to guest requests and ensure follow-through of service delivery.
  • Tracks all hotel maintenance items and guarantees completion in rooms and lounge.
  • Visible and accessible to all visitors and workers.
  • Assists with breakfast, lunch,sundowners and dinner service.
  • Liaise with kitchen and housekeeping for any special guest requests
  • Anticipates the demands of visitors and workers.
  • Displays leadership and maintains a professional presence.
