Our client, a market leader in integrated technology focused on online educational training, has a full time opening for an Assembly Technician.
The individual in this role will be responsible for assembling the company's products and equipment racks at their Wayne facility. Applicant must be highly motivated and have a strong desire to leverage their technical, critical thinking, and communication skills. Teamwork is essential; must work closely with the Service Manager, Project Managers, and Installation Technicians to ensure the installed systems maintain the highest quality and maximize customer satisfaction.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Assist with the timely assembly of equipment racks and the assembly of hardware components ensuring all meet our standards of quality.
- Assist with maintaining all records for Assembly to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with the installation of A/V component, server, networking, and control system designs in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Assist with building cable assemblies, wire equipment racks, and perform and document system quality assurance testing prior to shipment.
- Assist with maintaining company inventory.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Ensure all parts are accounted for in assembly and/or repair/service.
- Maintain the Assembly area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Support the Project Operations Manager on process improvement efforts within Assembly.
- Provide input to Project Operations Manager regarding performance of employees working in Assembly.
Skills and Abilities:
- Possesses a strong knowledge of computer applications such as Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to read and follow concise instructions.
- Must have a valid driver s license.
Education and additional information:
- AVIXA CTS certification required within 18 months of employment.
- Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and system design drawings preferred.
- IT and networking technology background a plus.
