Payroll Administrator

This position is responsible for processing and distributing information about payroll. Process payroll timely and accurately. This person reports to the Payroll & Benefits Manager

Back to the role:

What you will do:

  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll.
  • Ability to enter pay detail into ADP system.
  • Enter rate increases once specified approvals have been obtained.
  • Authority to resolve payroll issues within established guidelines.
  • Input new hires, personnel changes into the system
  • Input rate changes after getting proper authorization
  • Manually enter pay data and make corrections per company policies
  • Process terminations
  • Input deductions
  • Input and communicate with accounting any wage garnishments and withholding orders
  • Write reports
  • Send payroll reports to accounting department
  • Keep employee records and computer records updated with current employee information, ie rates of pay tax information, change of addresses etc
  • Up-keep of I-9 documentation in files as well as I-9 binder
  • Complete employment verification and return to specific agencies
  • Respond to outside inquiries from state agencies requiring payroll information
  • Complete all multi-work-site reports ie disability, workers comp, PFL
  • Perform other projects/duties as assigned

    What you should have:

    • 2-3 years relevant experience
      Ability to work in a team oriented environment as well as independently.
    • Must possess sound decision making skills and multi-task while working in an environment of stress with specific deadlines
    • Organizational skills
    • Good communication both written and verbal
    • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent follow-up skills
    • Confidential Reliable Adaptability Great attitude
    • Prior ADP workforcenow experience

    Salary Range:

    $60,000-$70,000

    Bonus:

    Eligible

    Hours:

    • 8:30am - 5:00pm
