Job Description
Tharseo IT is a veteran run and minority owned business with a mission to deliver Oracle Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, Iaas services. We pride ourselves in being founded after a successful deployment of the world s first Washington DC Health Benefits Exchange, in 2014. We are currently seeking an EBS Technical Developer to join our team.
As an EBS Technical Developer, you will play a critical role in managing Oracle E-Business Suite databases during the migration of on-premises EBS applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and the conversion from SPARC Solaris to Oracle Linux. This position requires a strong background in database administration and hands-on experience with EBS application migration projects.
What you ll be doing:
- Develop and execute database migration plans for moving EBS applications to OCI.
- Support the conversion process from SPARC Solaris to Oracle Linux, ensuring optimal database performance and stability.
- Collaborate with the Senior Functional E-Business Suite Resource and EBS Technical Developer to facilitate a smooth migration.
- Monitor and maintain EBS application databases in the OCI environment, guaranteeing high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain database security best practices, including data encryption and access control measures.
- Perform regular database backups, recovery procedures, and patch management as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues throughout the migration and post-migration phases.
What you ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Solid experience in Oracle E-Business Suite database administration.
- Proven experience in migrating EBS applications to OCI and converting from SPARC Solaris to Oracle Linux.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and related services.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary for roles at Tharseo IT varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set and level of experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,000 and $108,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Tharseo IT s total compensation package for employees.
