Job Title: Compliance Program Manager - CELA Asia Compliance Team

Job Type: Contingent Staff, Individual Contributor

Job Summary:

Reporting to the CELA Asia Compliance Assistant General Counsel, the Compliance Program Manager will work closely with the CELA Asia Compliance team to manage compliance program work including support across senior management presentations, investigations, legal research, business administration, and operations. The role will be responsible for managing reports and supporting the lead attorneys in conducting internal investigations in the region concerning infractions of Microsoft policies by employees and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Asia Compliance AGC, attorneys, and team members in Corporate, External and Legal Affairs Department (CELA) to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the culture initiatives, including training to business and control functions and running trust campaigns
  • Provide advisory support, conduct legal research, and work with Outside Counsel related to compliance matters/investigations
  • Support primary attorneys in conducting internal investigations in the region concerning infractions of Microsoft policies by employees and partners
  • Support administrative work - managing the compliance calendar, workshops and vendor engagements, scheduling meetings, taking accurate minutes in key meetings and tracking follow-up on action items;
  • Manage team reports, business processes and reporting dashboards. Create insights and update presentations for management reporting, including senior business leadership of the region
  • Provide administrative support to CELA Asia Compliance team on risk assessment, policy communication, program follow up, external and internal engagements.
  • Maintain and update required documents for CELA Asia Compliance team. Document updates may include Compliance events, cases, regulations, policy development trend, articles, and news in relation to compliance analysis.
  • Provide daily consultation to business team on internal collaboration- support business clients by counseling on Microsoft policy, prepare and provide data and materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist the CELA Asia Compliance team in managing budget spending, event tracker, and follow up with case reporting, etc.
  • Handle other requests and assisting tasks assigned by the CELA Asia Compliance team

Key Competencies/Requirements of the Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 10 years of experience in supporting the legal industry with legal background
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex tasks
  • Familiarity with compliance concepts, tools and systems, legal database tools, investigation processes
  • Ability to manage virtual team with events, systems, and processes
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle simultaneous demands
  • Shows good maturity and sound judgment
  • Positive interpersonal styles and can communicate effectively with internal business partners and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and uses value judgment to deliver tasks
  • A power user of Microsoft O365, with experience with Teams and team apps, including OneNote, SharePoint, and Planner, being an advantage
  • Results-oriented, and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done
  • High attention to detail, flexibility to adapt quickly to changing needs, and willing to take on new challenges
  • Confident, positive, and cheerful Team player with high team spirit
  • Good written and oral English communication skills.
