Home and Garden Retail Manager - Ballina, Co Mayo

The Garden and Retail Manager, through collaboration and delegation will to develop the Home & Garden offering in terms of Product ranges, innovative practices, visual presentation and Sales They will be experienced in customer service and will have the ability to grow customer base across all demographics and Sales

The ideal candidate
  • 1-2 years experience in a team leader, supervisor or manager role
  • Will have a background in home, DIY, garden center or horticulture
  • Will have the drive and ambition to help drive forward the growth and sales of the home and garden
Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Sales & Customer service staff to ensure all customers are served without delay, in a courteous manner and sales/returns dockets processed in line with company To work with Sales teams to achieve overall Sales targets & Effectively communicate targets and review performance with staff on an ongoing
  • Merchandising - Ensure Shop floor is presented to the highest standards of cleanliness at all times and displays & promotional areas are refreshed regularly with innovative project and margin focused seasonal
  • Prepare and communicate weekly work schedules and communicate to Approve weekly timesheets and holiday requests for Home & Garden Manage all absences and timekeeping issues in a timely
  • To lead and collaborate with senior management in developing staff in terms of their Product Knowledge; Selling & Customer service skills; knowledge and understanding of Sales policies & procedures; use of EPOS system; H&S ;
  • Formal review of staff performance on an annual basis and regular feedback on performance on an individual and team
  • Ensure Cash desk is operated in line with company policies, procedures & security Promote and maintain Customer Loyalty and Gift card
  • Purchasing and stock management - ensuring stock is purchased from agreed suppliers, priced and merchandised on the floor without delay and shrinkage is kept at a
  • Through collaboration and delegation you ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to
  • Liaise with Marketing and Brand manager to plan, execute and review Retail promotions both instore and online on a periodic
  • Liaise with Financial Controller on all aspects of financial and operational
  • Liaise with second branch in areas of mutual interest and
  • Report to CEO on ongoing basis in relation to all aspects of Home & Garden
