ProQR is currently looking for a Senior Scientist CNS (full time) to join the Axiomer Innovation The Axiomer Innovation Department is responsible for the discovery, validation and in vitro pharmacodynamics research of our oligo

The role:

The Scientist will be leading and supporting the project(s) related to CNS or The candidate will be responsible for setting and meeting project deliverables within preset budgets and As a subject matter expert, the candidate will provide scientific guidance to the project(s) and will support the project with hands-on The candidate will work closely with other colleagues in an interdisciplinary team environment to progress activities related to oligo candidate selection for neurological The activities will include:

• Leading a project team
• Accountable for the planning of activities and delivery of project milestones
• Align plans and activities with different stakeholders
• Provide scientific guidance related to the CNS/PNS
• Support with hands-on lab work

Required qualifications:

• A PhD degree with 2-5 years of experience working in Neuroscience in the Pharmaceutical Industry or academia
• Experience with independently managing research projects
• Proven track record of publications and presentations
• Hands-on experience with advanced cell culture systems such as primary neuronal cultures, iPSC-derived neuronal cultures and/or brain organoids
• Deep knowledge of neurological disorders related to the CNS or PNS is highly
• Knowledge of, or experience with, assays related to neurophysiology and/or oligo delivery into the CNS/PNS is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Flexible attitude, being able to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment
• Pro-active and pragmatic self-starter, with a result-oriented mindset
