Internship 2D Animator for Rogue-like Deckbuilding Game

At Spellfusion, we strive to create captivating indie games by merging the tried and trusted with the innovative and We're looking for a 2D animator based in NRW, Germany, and currently enrolled as a university or college student to support our latest project, Nether Spirits.

Depending on your university's schedule, the internship will start between March 2023 and June 2023 and will last three months, or up to six months if it's a mandatory internship.

Nether Spirits is a rogue-like deckbuilder set in a mystical realm known as The Nether, a place where fractured souls fight tooth and nail to reach their goal: a pillar of blue light said to make them whole

Tasks

• Rigging of 2D assets (characters, environment props, creatures) & animation as 2D puppets in Unity (animation style reference: )
• Active participation in the asset creation process for animation purposes
• Optional: dividing assets into separate components and preparing them for the animation process

Requirements

• You live in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany, or are willing to move to NRW for the duration of the internship (necessary due to funding regulations)
• You're currently enrolled for a bachelor's or master's degree
• You have an affinity for animation work and already have some experience
• You're able to make different characters and creatures come to life by creating fitting, fluid movements for each one
• You're able to work in a team and incorporate feedback into your design process
• You're fluent in either German or English
