Job Description

•Oversee the management of IUCN’s Contracts Review Process.
•Support the provision of corporate legal advice to the Office of the Regional Director in consultation with the Head Environmental Legal Officer.
•Provide quality legal and technical support to the Head Environmental Legal Officer as directed, as part of the Environmental Law Programme of the IUCN Oceania Regional Office (IUCN ORO), and in relation internal IUCN ORO business matters.
•Lead empirical research and analysis of national legislation, and regional and international agreements, case law and policy briefs as and when required in consultation with the Head Environmental Legal Officer.
•Take carriage of the secretarial work of the Pacific Network for Environmental Law including the dissemination of information to all members.
•Develop the newsletter for the Pacific Network for Environmental Law and providing the administration and overseeing its development on a quarterly basis in consultation with the Head Environmental Legal Officer and the Regional Communications Officer.
