About the Company
Our client is asocial commerce platform where users can invite their friends to form groups to receive discounts from suppliers of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) products. They are anIndonesian social commerce app for group buying which means they help connect like-minded individuals who want to buy the same products at a discounted price. THey launched in March 2020 (just as COVID-19 hit Indonesia!) and have been exponentially growing since then. A year later, in March 2021, they successfully raised their Series A round of funding worth US$10 Million led by Go Venturesand Series B US$ 20M in July 2022. They focus on selling fresh produce and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in areas outside of Indonesias major cities, to people who have mostly never shopped online before. Their buyers are able to place orders directly through their app, participating in group deals for lower prices.
Job Descriptions:
- Develop and support node.js micro service modules and shared libraries to support core business functions
- Interface with third party APIs
- Take accountability on the written and reviewed code, write reusable and sustainable code and practice test-driven development and defensive programming
- Build on each other by analyzing and reviewing team s code and provide constructive feedback for continuous environment
- Propose and deliver an optimal solution after understanding existing alternate options and overall system impact of implementing each option
Requirements
- Having 2+ years experience in backend or related position
- Proficient in one of these skillsets NodeJS, Javascript, Typescript and PostgreSQL databases
- Proficient in Object-Oriented/Functional Programming, REST API, and Design Patterns
- Evidence of exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application (e.g., well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms)
- Having good proficiency of english
