About the position
The selected candidate will support the implementation of the communications activities of the CGIAR AgriLAC Resiliente Initiative and the Climate Action team in LAC. The geographical scope of the work includes the Latin America and the Caribbean region with an emphasis on prioritized countries of AgriLAC Resiliente (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Colombia, M xico and Per ).
This position will be based at the Alliance Bioversity-CIAT in Palmira, Colombia.
Requirements
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor s degree in international communications, Journalism, or another relevant field
Specialization or master s degree in International Communications, Journalism, or another relevant field
Minimum five years of experience in communications, with a preference for experience in international settings, particularly Latin America and the Caribbean
Excellent writing and critical thinking skills and ability to convey complex data ideas and messages in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative, and decentralized environment, including across teams at several levels
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Strong interest in science and agricultural development

This is a national recruited position placed at a BG07, in a scale of 14 levels, with level 14 being the highest.
This is a Colombian national search and will be managed through a fixed term contract of a one (1) year period, subject to a probation period of two (2) months and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
