Office Location:Either Vienna, Austria, Stanstead Abbotts, England or Hyderabad, India

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

In this role you will add value to PXP by:

Being a key member of the Finance leadership team and will lead a multi-site team in delivering high quality and fit-for-purpose financial controls, accounting and reporting, you will take the day-to-day lead in delivering finance transformation and improvements.

You will work with the CFO and with colleagues based in Austria, the UK and India in delivering high quality service to support both the overall Finance team strategic and operational initiatives and the overall business objectives.

A typical week as a Head of Accounting & Group Reporting might involve:
  • Leading the financial control, accounting and reporting team across a number of sites.
  • Ensure delivery of timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting processes.
  • Ensure differences between financial accounting (FI) and management information (MI) are investigated, can be explained and corrected where appropriate.
  • Design, embed and ensure the operation of fit-for-purpose financial controls.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the financial control, accounting and reporting team.
  • Work alongside the CFO and Head of Commercial Finance to design and embed efficient, reliable and robust end-to-end finance processes, analysis and reporting.
  • Act as a key advisor to the business in designing fit-for-purpose financial controls, reconciliations, processes and reporting to support business growth, development and new product initiatives.
  • Provide Ad-hoc reporting / analysis / support to the CFO and other key Stakeholders.
  • Day-to-day leadership of the Finance change agenda designing and implementing effective controls; simplification, standardisation and automation of processes; ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial accounting and reporting; and a focus on continuous improvement and ongoing review of key processes to support business growth and new product offerings.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Is a qualified Accountant
  • Expert in financial controls, accounting and reporting best practice
  • Team leadership ideally including multi-site / remote teams
  • Experience in leading change and improvement projects
  • Experience in designing effective financial processes and controls, and in using automation of processes to deliver efficiency and improved control
  • Strong understanding of best-practice reconciliation processes
  • Project management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong initiative and highly organised
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic
We would love someone to have any of the following:
  • Experience working in a Financial Services and a regulated business, and in an international business.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Netsuite.
  • Experience in designing and supporting improvements and efficiency in processes and controls.
