JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Lead is responsible for the financial health of the company. This includes preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and making recommendations to management. The Finance Lead also manages the finance department and oversees accounting, compliance, payroll, and benefits.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
Execute accurate reporting, enabling yourself to analyze options and make financial recommendations
Improve Company procedures and analysis for financial and management reporting
Introduce and spearhead automation and scalability on finance processes
Maintain the companys compliance with applicable laws and regulations
RESPONSIBILITIES
Finalize tax returns and update the team on the latest compliance issuances;
Head during financial and compliance audits for the company;
Prepare monthly budgets and quarterly forecasts;
Create and manage monthly reports, including balance sheets and income statements, month-end closing checklist, account and tax reconciliation, and costs analysis;
Analyze quarterly results to help improve performance in the future;
Improve processes by analyzing data such as internal control, cash flow, timesheet productivity and billable costs, etc.
Work with HR on benefits administration;
Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders, and investors on financial issues for an amicable resolution of differences;
Create strategic business plans based on analyzing the companys status and financial forecasts;
Other related tasks as may need be.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Financial Management or any relevant course
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
Experience in Xero, Juantax, Sprout, Hurey and other ERPs/tools is a plus
Must have an in-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
Must have a strong accounting background
