About the Role
As a Telecommunications Radio Network Specialist, you will provide onsite engineering services and perform solution interface design discussions with the customer operation team. You will be end-to-end responsible for solution architecture and design for CovMo RAN analytics software platform.
The role is responsible for:
Generate use cases using Groundhogs CovMo platform for radio access network planning and optimisation.
Responsible for complete project documentations, in compliance with 3GPP and Open RAN telecom standards.
Responsible for CovMo 5G virtualised platform planning, design, configuration and commissioning in the customer data centre.
Perform knowledge transfer and training (basic users, advanced users, administrator) services to the radio access network (RAN) power users team.
Identify potential hotspot (high data utilisation) location for installation of 5G technology nodes.
Onsite support to the customer in network planning activities for the 5G network.
Identify target cells with high interference, frequency channel conflict, missing neighbor relation, swap feeders, cells with antenna tilt and azimuth optimisation requirements.
Perform and monitor updates and upgrades at various project stages.
Daily, weekly monitoring of system capacity and creating expansion plan as per customers traffic forecast to ensure high system performance.
Identify technical and business constraints such as vendor adoptions, network platform, subscriber profile, usage patterns, VoLTE/VoNR/Data/SMS & traffic attributes.
Regular (biweekly/monthly) meetings with customer engineering team head and CTO.
Support technical discussions, demos and presentations for other telecom operators in the region.
Capable to use our RAN analytics platform and offer services such as network KPI reports from commencing the project to ensure the smoother rollout of 5G network and ensure Capex and Opex saving for the customer by identifying the accuracte location for new gNB/base station installation.
Well experienced on CovMo 5G platform, who can lead the technical services and design discussion with the customer OSS engineering team.
Arrange discussion of R&D team and customer engineering team for deep dive analysis of various use cases.
Communicate with customers on new features or change request requirements.

About You
We are looking for the following skills, experience and qualifications
A technical qualification (University Degree) in Telecommunications Engineering or above
As Groundhog is an engineering and R&D-driven organisation, any telecom publication or patented radio network technology feature is a plus
Minimum 10 years experience in telecommunications
Minimum 8+ years experience in a telecommunications Radio Access Network (RAN) engineering
Experience working with a large-scale network environment (network size of 10Bil RRC per day or above)
Experience working as a solution architect
Experience in generating various use cases to address operator's radio access network issues such as weak coverage, bad quality, low data throughput etc
Full understanding of 3GPP protocol and radio layer3 trace data.
Knowledge of event traces from 2G, 3G, 4G, IoT and 5G technologies.
Practical knowledge of working with trace data from telecom interfaces such as Air/Uu, S1-C/U, X2, Xn, NG-C/U, Iu, Iub, Iur, IuCS/IuPS, Abis, A
Practical knowledge of Radio Access Network nominal planning, capacity addition, hotspot analysis and optimisation.
Able to perform root cause analysis for abnormal radio sessions, overshooting, interference and drop session scenarios.
