Protocol Developer/packet core engineer

Job Description:

Engineer with a strong background in Cellular Packet Core technology with a minimum of 3-8 years in development/architect roles. The ideal candidate is expected to have prior working experience in 4G/LTE Core network (knowledge of 5G architecture is a plus), as well as Edge/Cloud computing concepts and platforms. The successful candidate will have strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills as well as the motivation, self-drive and a result oriented approach to problem solving. The position provides ample opportunities for learning and career growth in a startup environment.

Responsibilities:

• Architecture and development of functional modules of Packet Core on the platform
• Technical expertise as a subject matter expert in responding to customer RFI/RFP
• Understand the product and service roadmap and direction, and assist with decisions on product features and service offerings.

Skills Required:

• Expert knowledge of Packet Core elements (MME/SGW/PGW/HSS and AMF/SMF/UPF/AUSF/UDM/NSSF/NRF) and hands-on experience on 4G/5G systems
• Expert knowledge of 3GPP standards on Packet Core, and it's interfaces with the Radio and OSS/BSS systems
• Good understanding of 5G Network Slicing and it's applicability to creating Private Cellular Networks
• Protocol development experience in 3G/4G/5G nodes, using HTTP2 and JSON, GTPv2, Charging, Radius/Diameter, REST API etc.
• Must have familiarity with Dockers/Kubernetes, experience with any cloud platforms is a plus
• Knowledge of open source software such as nodejs, nginx, ruby, lua, rabbitMQ, elasticsearch and building application software using such common software
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, and articulate the technology aspects to both the customers and internal teams in a clear and consistent manner
• B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Engineering, with experience in Software development, Product/System architecture roles
