Senior Firmware Engineer

Tasks

As our Senior Firmware Engineer (f/m/d), you will be responsible for designing and maintaining software for our Wearable and BLE gateway products. This is a pivotal role for the future of the company and you will work closely with our product owners and technical leads to make key product and go-to-market decisions.

• You will be writing robust wearable firmware for nRF52 in C
• Optimize power consumption of battery powered wearable
• Sending Wearable BLE data to Cloud using WiFi using MQTT
• Writing unit tests, system tests and end-to-end tests.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field with ideally 6+ years of firmware development experience.
• Good experience with C, Firmware, Unix systems, Git, MQTT, nRF52, BLE, WiFi
• Developed low-power products using BLE and WiFi or other wireless protocols
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Good written and spoken English; German optional

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with RTOS (Zephyr ideally), Bare metal, ARM, different microcontrollers
• Familiarity with Python or any other high-level language for testing
• Familiarity with REST, JSON, software development for web
• Experience developing PCB, schematics, Layout, part selection
• Developing custom Linux OS using Buildroot or Yocto
• Familiarity with Zigbee, Thread, LoRa
• Experience with Quality assurance
• Experience with developing medical software or products / IEC62304 / IEC 60601
