Your Role

As a Working Student you will join our cross-functional team responsible for prototyping, designing, engineering our industrial IoT devices. KONUX is really proud of the fact that we design our own way-side monitoring hardware despite all the technical difficulties that come with installing sensors on train tracks, and we want you to join us! In our team, an Electronics engineer is responsible for contributing to all the stages of research and development of our hardware from theoretical studies, design and prototyping until production and working hand in hand with our preferred suppliers. You should expect to work hands-on on in-house projects and supporting the other disciplines (Software & Mechanics) whenever there is your knowledge needed. We have a relatively small and highly autonomous team of 7 engineers who strive for doing the right things the right way and we understand what engineering a device from beginning to end requires from us.

Your Responsibilities

• Bring your Electronics design expertise to our cross functional IIoT Device Engineering team. (ME, EE, FW)
• Support the cross-functional team with quick prototyping
• Research and evaluate hardware components for use in future designs
• Testing and debugging of our hardware products and prototypes
• You create and modify detailed documentation including schematics, test plans and results
• Support design and review of hardware
• Improve our Hardware LAB setups for better efficiency and organization.
• Support Root cause analysis of issues happening in the field

Your Profile

Must have

• Student in an engineering discipline, preferably in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar.
• Good understanding of basic analog and digital electronics is a must.
• You are proficient in using lab equipment like Oscilloscope, multimeter etc.
• You have great hands when it comes to soldering
• You are able to understand schematics and PCB designs
• Fluent in English
• Curious and willing to learn about state of the art IIoT devices

Good to have

• Experience in using any of the ECAD softwares like Altium, Eagle or Kicad
• Experience with designing battery powered IoT devices
• Experience in railway industry
• Fluent in German
