Compliance Manager - Internal Controls (w/m/d)

About the role:

Part of the Legal & Compliance function at Billie and reporting directly to our CISO, you will be our key player when it comes to fostering Billie's compliance with applicable regulatory requirements with regards to Billie s Internal Control System as well as its Contract & Outsourcing Management. A strong focus of the role will be to take Billie s Internal Control System to the next level and steer our Contract & Outsourcing Management processes.

In more details, you will:

• Conduct assessments of internal controls, frameworks, and processes, taking into account industry best practices as well as participate in the design and implementation of controls/frameworks related to Billie s Internal Control System
• Ensure that outsourced services are properly initiated, monitored and reviewed, and continuously enhance guidelines and policies related to Outsourcing risk, taking into consideration Billie s structural expansion
• Play a pivotal role in ensuring Billie s compliance with regulatory requirements with regards to MaRisk, BAIT, ZAIT and EBA Guidelines
• Support in the preparation for and during the execution of internal and external audits and work hand in hand with governance stakeholder representatives to ensure controls are fit for purpose, agreed and ratified.
• Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of Billie's products, services, policies, procedures, philosophy, and organizational structure
• Preparation and performance of internal trainings, presentations and workshops on Billie s Internal Control System as well as Billie s Contract & Outsourcing Management Processes.

Who we are looking for:

• You have sound knowledge and enthusiasm for internal control systems and risk management topics and have experience in conducting gap assessments and/or risk assessments
• You have ideally gained experience in the Financial Services, Banking industry, or Fintech
• You demonstrated excellent analytical skills (proficiency in SQL is a plus), and are able to balance qualitative and quantitative insights to make the right business decisions
• You have a strong affinity for internal control systems as well as processes and a keen eye for continuous process improvements
• You have an eye for detail and the ability to work reliably in a fast-paced environment
• You have European market experience
• You are self-driven and have a flexible mindset which allows you to work both independently and in multicultural teams.
