Croptimistic Technology Inc. is a fast-growing international AgTech company with a unique opportunity for an experienced sales professional to develop partnerships within the AgTech industry. Croptimistic Technology has created SWAT (Soil, Water, and Topography) MAPS, a leading-edge technology for Precision Agriculture.

This ideal candidate will have an intrinsic desire to sell and is keen to jump into a fast-moving industry while playing a lead role in building out our Western Canadian sales team. This person is an expert in building long-term relationships with potential clients as well as internal team members. This person requires extensive familiarity with business development and the sales processes & procedures to support an aggressive growth strategy.This candidate will have a desire to build & create resources & strategies to support and mentor thesales team.

This candidate will have a deep knowledge of agronomy, technology, and yield programs. Change management will be crucial in creating dynamic business solutions as this candidate will be able to analyze and succeed at sales while building teams in very demanding environments. This candidate must have effective communication in all areas of this position.

This position will be located within Saskatoon; however, travel will be crucial to the success of this department.

Responsibilities

-Create short-term and long-term sales strategies for new and existing service providers
-Will have a sense of urgency with targeting leads
-Prepare proposals, contracts and in field demos for potential sales opportunities
-Manage records of sales, forecasts, revenue & KPI s.
-Must be able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
-Must own, manage, organize, and execute sales data through chosen CRM systems
-Will be responsible for working as a team. Will need to create resources and guidance for other sales agronomists while supporting their individual initiatives
-Present reports on account progress, quotas, and goals to senior leadership and stakeholders
-Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development
-Manage and develop new relationships with potential service providers
-Will be responsible for attending sales events such as tradeshows sales meetings
-Will need to assess critically and recommend process improvements
-Must be up to date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently


Requirements

-Post-secondary education in Business Agriculture or technology
-5 years' experience in a similar role with a structured selling experience
-Highly organized with a sophisticated strategic understanding of sales processes, structures, and techniques from beginning to end with the ability to pivot when seeing the need
-Must have experience dealing with and succeeding at negotiations
-Understanding of the digital landscape and a passion for agriculture & technology
-Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
-Presentation skills are crucial to this position
-Experience working with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, CRM & marketing software systems
-Ability to motivate a fast-paced team while working in very demanding environments. Must have the ability to lead and mentor
-Excellent troubleshooting abilities
-Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and independently manage time
-Problem solving and critical thinking skills
-Background in Product Marketing an asset
