EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience

2+ years recent experience performing system administration using virtualization technologies in a Converged/Hyper Convergent infrastructure environment

2+ years experience with Server system administration

Knowledge and experience of network configuration and troubleshooting

Provides level 1/2 support to CIS infrastructure in accordance with Agency processes and procedures

Installs and maintains the baseline of computing, storage and networking platforms required for the core and functional IT services and applications

Maintains IT System Backup and Disaster Recovery plans, restores IT Systems as required

Administers and maintains virtual infrastructure environment as well as virtual desktop infrastructure

Contributes to Level 1 and Level 2 Incident Management support

Contributes to Problem Management and Change Management

Responsible for databases administration

Contributes to the Service Asset and Configuration Management

Support the local deployment of protection system to include firewall, antivirus, IT security policies as directed

Contributes to the production and maintenance of technical documentation of IT Systems

Contribute to implement Cyber Security Policies and provide support during investigations
