Our incredible team consistently produces luxury pieces sold by widely-recognized upscale national retailers at a speed light-years ahead of the competition.

As a key member of the Innovation Team, theSenior Innovation Engineerhelps drive a roadmap of innovation that delivers performance improvements through advances in materials, methods, and technologies for new and existing products. We need your expertise to assist in developing a strategy defining specific areas of innovation to explore. Advances in sustainability of our products is likewise an essential part of this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute on innovation projects and help drive the completion of each project
  • Explore all aspects of 3D printing to help drive next generation manufacturing
  • Work closely with the Development, Design, and Merchandising teams to refine each project
  • Drive projects that support our corporate sustainability goals
  • Develop mechanical and Electromechanical products; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials
  • Work with team colleagues to implement operating procedures, resolve production and/or supplier issues, or provide technical support as needed
  • Developed ways to analyze and test the feasibility of a new design, operation, or material
  • Investigate product failures and production difficulties to products, diagnose and make recommendations for improvements, develop and test models of alternate designs for these recommendations
  • Evaluate designs or prototypes for energy performance (if applicable) or environmental impact as part of sustainability effort


Requirements

Heres what were looking for:

  • A Bachelors degree in Material Science, Engineering, Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. 10+ years of in-depth experience in engineering, innovation and design with practice in advanced materials.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office and Adobe applications.
  • Ability to easily make connections among previously unrelated notions.
  • Strong, clear written/verbal communication skills, and a capability to communicate complex concepts in a concise and understandable way to a variety of audiences.
  • A natural curiosity to maintain knowledge of material and technology advancements, constantly seeking potential opportunities for product performance improvements.
  • An "out-of-the-box" creative thinker with a natural tinker gene, who cant stop thinking about how to make something better
