Experienced English-Somali interpreters

We are looking for a competent Interpreter to provide assistance to non-English speakers across a range of activities. The interpreter will provide interpretation services during various processes. You will provide accurate concepts and explanations with no additions or omissions, and according to conventions of established interpretation protocol. You will identify factors that hinder your performance as an Interpreter, and swiftly report these to relevant parties.

- The interpreter facilitates communication between the parties speaking two different languages by interpreting from one language to another;

- He / She ensures the link between the two parties;

- The interpreter facilitates communication by assisting clients on behalf of their company. This can help them understand company documents and information, complete forms, answer questions, or respond to customer concerns;

- The interpreter s duty of confidentiality is absolute;

Requirements

- Candidates must be fluent in English and one of the languages listed above;

- Candidates must be flexible and reliable;

- Work experience as a translator, interpreter, tour guide or similar role;

- Excellent listening skills and perception of language variant and conversational context;

- Good knowledge of Microsoft tools and translation software;

- Availability to work weekends, holidays and at night, if available;

- Good ability to work in a team and to work under pressure.
