Material Handler:
As a Material Handler, you will follow standard operating procedures to maintain accurate inventory in all designated warehouses and locations while keeping the work areas safe, clean and organized. You will use hand tools like scanners and tape guns and operate warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
Key Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to the following)
Receive and/or fill orders in a safe, accurate and timely manner including placing all incoming and/or outgoing materials, finished goods, raw materials, and supplies in the appropriate staging, shipping, receiving or storage locations
Maintain accurate inventory in all designated warehouses and locations
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and swing reach
Utilize computers and handheld scanners and tape guns
Keep all documents, computer records and training up-to-date and accurate
Prepare and account for all material movement documentation and update inventory management system accordingly
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis
Valid driver's license
Previous experience operating a forklift or the ability to become forklift certified
Experience using spreadsheets, word processing, and electronic inventory management systems (preferred)
Ability to work with small hand tools like scanners and tape guns and some powered equipment
Ability to kit, count and package small and large inventory items
