Term: Full time

Hidden Creative is seeking a talented and experienced Middleweight 3D artist that is capable of creating stunning high-quality hard surface high poly/low poly modelling. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail and a passion for creative problem solving.

This is an exciting role within a small team of specialist and highly motivated 3D artists working with augmented reality, virtual reality and other immersive technologies. As a mid level member of the team you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge in a huge range of technologies while creating highly acclaimed 3D for interactive experiences and videos.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Modelling from image reference and CAD data
  • Lighting and rendering, particularly in Unity
  • Creating tileable and mapped textures
  • Rendering (Vray)
  • Gathering reference for asset creation
  • UV unwrapping for texture and baked UV sets
  • Work to schedules to deliver work to agreed timelines

Key Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in 3D art in a business environment
  • Able to quickly prototype from rough sketches
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid work ethic and a positive attitude in the face of challenging situations
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Proficient with 3D art creation tools such as Maya
  • Knowledge of the PBR workflow and texturing tools such as Substance Painter
  • Proficient with 2D software such as Photoshop
  • Experience working with game engines such as Unity and Unreal
  • Knowledge of optimisation processes and rendering techniques
  • Accomplished with rendering tools and fundamentals, (V-Ray)
  • Generate and modify models based on engineering and industrial design specs
  • Modelling high resolution geometry for surface transfer
  • Positive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques

Bonus

  • Rigging for animation
  • Animation
  • Unreal Experience
  • Understanding of character creation processes and animation fundamentals
  • It would be advantageous to have skills in concept drawing, storyboarding
  • Experience with AR / VR / MR
  • Knowledge of other 3D visualisation software such as Cinema4D / After Effects
