Job Description
- Review payment requests and clear all project financial transactions, including deposits, receipts, vouchers, and cash disbursements according to MSI/PAJ policies.
- Maintain the payment request tracker to avoid double payments.
- Prepare disbursement vouchers, cheques, and online wire transfers.
- Ensure that field financial and procurement procedures and policies are followed and implemented.
- Act as focal point for daily banking matters.
- Ensure proper recording, documenting, and reporting of all financial transactions on QuickBooks.
- Prepare cash and bank reconciliation statements.
- Support the Finance Manager in overseeing the project accounting cycle to ensure that monthly financial expense reports are accurate and timely submitted.
- Assist the Finance Manager in preparation of the MSI/PAJ monthly expenditure reports, ensuing accuracy and completeness in a timely manner.
- Consolidate monthly fund projections for project's procurement, activities, payroll, grants, and office administration.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager and the Director of Finance & Operations (DFO) on project budgeting and expense planning.
