Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr Director Platforms & Serv Mgmt located in Pune India.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies as may be required regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview

DePuy Synthes is seeking a transformational and operationally strong Senior Director of IT Operations to lead enterprise-wide infrastructure end-user services cloud operations cybersecurity operations partnership service management and operational excellence across a global MedTech organization. This leader will play a critical role in building a scalable secure resilient and fit-for-purpose technology operations capability that enables business growth manufacturing continuity commercial execution and innovation.

The role will partner closely with the CTO Cybersecurity Enterprise Architecture Digital & Data teams Global Supply Chain Manufacturing R&D Commercial and Shared Services organizations to ensure world-class operational performance and user experience while supporting large-scale transformation initiatives ERP modernization cloud adoption and business separation activities.

This role requires a strong blend of operational discipline strategic thinking transformation leadership financial management vendor governance and people leadership within a highly regulated global healthcare environment. The environment includes complex global operations manufacturing plants distribution centers commercial organizations and R&D sites operating at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations Leadership

  • Lead global IT Operations across infrastructure cloud networks workplace technologies collaboration platforms identity and access management operations service desk field services and operational support functions.
  • Establish and operate a modern scalable secure and resilient global IT operations model supporting 24x7 business operations.
  • Drive operational stability service reliability business continuity disaster recovery and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and execute the multi-year IT Operations strategy aligned to business priorities growth objectives and separation/transformation goals.

Service Management & Operational Excellence

  • Own enterprise ITSM processes including Incident Problem Change Configuration Release Asset Capacity and Availability Management.
  • Drive measurable improvements in service quality uptime end-user experience operational KPIs and cost efficiency.
  • Establish operational dashboards and executive reporting across SLAs MTTR availability customer satisfaction operational risk and vendor performance.
  • Lead operational governance and escalation management for critical incidents and business continuity events.

Infrastructure Cloud & Workplace Services

  • Oversee hybrid infrastructure environments spanning cloud data center network compute storage endpoint and collaboration technologies.
  • Lead enterprise cloud operations and optimization initiatives across public cloud and SaaS platforms.
  • Drive workplace modernization initiatives including employee experience endpoint management mobility collaboration and productivity tooling.
  • Ensure operational readiness and supportability for enterprise platforms and business applications.

Manufacturing & Operational Technology Partnership

  • Partner with manufacturing supply chain and engineering teams to support reliable plant operations and operational technology environments.
  • Support factory and distribution operations through resilient connectivity cybersecurity coordination site support and infrastructure standardization.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Engineering leaders to strengthen OT/IT operational integration and risk management.

Cybersecurity & Compliance Partnership

  • Partner closely with Cybersecurity leadership to ensure operational implementation of security controls monitoring vulnerability remediation identity operations and incident response.
  • Support compliance with global regulatory privacy quality and cybersecurity requirements applicable to the healthcare and MedTech industries.
  • Ensure operational alignment to evolving regulatory expectations surrounding cybersecurity privacy data protection and AI governance.

Transformation & Separation Leadership

  • Support enterprise transformation initiatives including ERP modernization cloud migration infrastructure rationalization application modernization and operational simplification.
  • Play a leadership role in business separation TSA execution and establishment of standalone operational capabilities.
  • Drive standardization automation vendor consolidation and technical debt reduction initiatives.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Manage significant global operating budgets across infrastructure operations telecom cloud end-user services and managed services.
  • Lead strategic vendor management and sourcing partnerships across MSPs hyperscalers telecom providers and infrastructure partners.
  • Drive operational efficiency and cost optimization while maintaining service quality and resiliency.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing global operations organization and operational culture centered around accountability customer experience innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Develop organizational capabilities across cloud operations automation SRE/DevOps ITSM and operational analytics.
  • Foster a culture aligned to company values ethics inclusion collaboration and patient/customer impact.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or related discipline
  • Masters degree or MBA preferred

Experience and Skills

Required

  • 15 years of progressive IT leadership experience with significant experience leading large-scale global IT Operations organizations.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise infrastructure and operations within highly regulated industries such as healthcare MedTech pharmaceuticals manufacturing or other complex global enterprises.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in large-scale global environments supporting manufacturing supply chain commercial and corporate functions.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Global infrastructure operations
    • Cloud operations and migration
    • IT service management (ITIL)
    • End-user computing and workplace services
    • Managed services and vendor governance
    • Business continuity and disaster recovery
    • Operational transformation and automation
  • Experience supporting M&A divestitures carve-outs or large transformation programs strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial organizational communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity complexity and organizational change.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting MedTech manufacturing and operational technology environments.
  • Experience operating in SAP Salesforce cloud-first and hybrid enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with modern observability automation AIOps SRE and platform operations models.
  • Experience building operational models for standalone or newly separated enterprises.
  • Experience with global service delivery models including GCCs shared services and managed services partnerships.
