Responsibilities

Leading team of automation engineers responsible for projects primarily for Industry domain; Drive consistent design practices common global OTR processes for projects implementation and provide technical solutions that meets the project and tender objectives

Mentor / Coach engineers for execution of projects; Responsible for tracking project schedules identifying risk proactively and formalizing mitigation plan

Promote technical excellence through design / technical reviews tracking milestones and margins for the contracts assigned to the team lessons learned awareness and application and technical innovation

Support critical customer design reviews; comprehend and provide solutions for complex challenges

• Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility including improving engineering processes

Good understanding of clients Industry Function and Commercial markets.

Drive Lean and SQDC rhythm

• Work cross functionally across Engineering Commissioning Sourcing Suppliers and Global units

Manage teams workload schedule and project milestones.

Hire right resources filling the skill-set gaps and developing talents in the team.

Setting priorities for the team inline with Business goals; Set performance expectations perform reviews and provide constructive feedback to the team.

Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

Explains information developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.

Work with Section / Platform manager for the work processes / operational plans / schedules to achieve business objectives.

Demonstrate domain expertise in Industry to provide consulting solutions to engineers as well as to the customers.

Work closely with ITO team to vet technical proposals provide estimates identify project risk and mitigation plan meeting customer requirements.

• Collaborate with sales providing technical presentations to customers for winning orders thereby enhancing the business. Discuss complex technical requirements with customers based on technical expertise in Power Conversion Products System and Solutions

• Work closely with other functions to win opportunities mitigate project risks improve processes and help formulate policies.

• Use judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management manufacturing technology or engineering. Take a new perspective on existing solutions. Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.

• Drive lean methodology to provide optimum technical solutions for the projects.
• Lead Design and implementation of optimized control architectures that meet the product and project requirements considering the existing components and future control platform evolution in the business.
• Support the business in creating and reviewing (in conjunction with the leadership team) systems solutions as part of the process ensuring that solutions are technically fit for purpose and that technical risk is understood and managed with contingencies identified.

• Support the leadership team in the development of technology road maps in response to future business opportunities and strategy while providing direction and a domain process viewpoint to the Engineering teams.
• Inspire team to Innovate explore new areas for growth; competency and capacity building for the same.
• Keeping up to date with Industry trends and developments
• Identify and propose improvements in processes tools system solutions and technologies

• Ensure strict compliance with all company and customers EHS policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelors/ Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or Equivalent
• Proficient in Power Conversion Products Systems and Solutions for Marine & Offshore segment
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Engineering in Industry domain
• Excellent communication interpersonal influencing and presentation skills
• Capable of working with a multi-disciplined International team with good personal organization skills.
• Able to deliver solutions that present clear improvements to current practices
• Demonstrated ability in lean standardization and process improvement
