SENIOR AUTOMATION DEVELOPER
Job Summary
Senior Individual Contributor (L4) Reports to: Automation Lead / Architect
- A senior individual contributor responsible for in-house automation framework development shared tooling and CI/CD integration.
- You will be the core engineering resource inside the automation discipline working alongside the Automation Lead to build and sustain scalable test automation capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the in-house test automation framework
- Build and maintain shared automation libraries used across the SDET pod
- Implement and manage CI/CD integration for automated test execution
- Own engineering delivery for the Test Data Factory Stage 1 initiative
- Own engineering delivery for the automation lift programme
- Mentor SDET pod members on framework patterns and best practices
- Peer-review automation code produced by the SDET pod
- Coordinate with the AI Lead/Architect on AI-assisted automation integration
Essential Skills Required
- 7 years in test automation development
- Strong programming proficiency in Java Python JavaScript or TypeScript
- Proven experience with automation framework engineering (page object BDD hybrid patterns)
- CI/CD integration experience with Jenkins Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- API and service-layer automation experience
- Test data management and TDF experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
Desirable Skills
- ISTQB Test Automation Engineer certification
- Experience with visual self-healing and AI-assisted automation tools
- Banking or financial services automation experience
- Experience mentoring junior automation engineers in a structured programme
- Familiarity with performance or non-functional test automation
