Purchasing Materials Procurement Supervisor

Position Summary:Team leader with experience in engineering sector who will be able to handle 30 to 40 suppliers with multiple varieties of parts & leading team membersRole:The Purchase Team Leader is responsible for leading the purchasing team to ensure timely costeffective and quality procurement of raw materials finished products & spares. The role ensures uninterrupted operations from raw material availability to finished product delivery while maintaining supplier relationships compliance and cost :Team T&G having 7# team member who are committed to delivery material on time with right quality to is assigned to procure Raw material Turn & ground parts sheet metal parts Screw & barrel Heavy & casting machining. Basic Qualifications:Candidate should be BE mechanical or ME having experience of 10 to 12 years. Knowledge of Drawing reading & zero-base costing of parts to be preferred. Preferred Qualifications:BE mechanical with 10 to 12 years experience in engineering ResponsibilitiesLead guide and supervise the purchase/procurement teamAllocate daily tasks and monitor work progressTrain and develop team members on procurement processes and systemsConduct performance reviews and support skill enhancementEnsure adherence to company policies ethics and procurement proceduresPlan execute and control purchase activities as per production and business needsEnsure continuity of supply with minimum inventory riskCoordinate closely with Production Engineering Quality Stores and Finance teamsIdentify evaluate and onboard new suppliersMaintain strong relationships with approved vendorsNegotiate pricing payment terms delivery schedules and contractsMonitor supplier performance for quality cost and deliveryResolve vendorrelated issues and disputes effectivelyAchieving cost reduction through negotiation alternate sourcing and standardizationTrack market trends price fluctuations and raw material availabilitySupport value engineering and localization initiativesPrepare daily weekly and monthly procurement reportsMarket scanning for alternate supplier Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of procurement and supply chain processesKnowledge of materials specifications and purchase documentationVendor negotiation and contract management skillsExperience with ERP / SAP / procurement systemsTeam leadership and coordinationAnalytical and problemsolving abilityStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
