About the role -

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Head to oversee the implementation of a flagship program aimed at building science capital among secondary school students in government schools. Working closely with key corporate and district partners the Project Head will manage program delivery across 25 intervention schools and 5 control schools ensuring strategic alignment high-quality implementation and measurable outcomes.

The position requires a systems-oriented program leader capable of translating program design into district-level implementation architecture while ensuring institutionalization within government structures for long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Government Partnerships & System Integration

• Establish strengthen and manage strategic partnerships with State District and Block education authorities to align programs with government priorities and administrative processes.
• Integrate program components into district education systems including annual plans budgets review mechanisms training calendars and monitoring structures.
• Support the formalization of institutional arrangements (MoUs district approvals convergence platforms and review forums).
• Collaborate with leadership to co-design monitoring frameworks indicators and decision-support systems aligned with government data structures.
• Represent the organization in district-level review meetings convergence forums dissemination platforms and consultations.

2. District Programme Implementation & Institutionalisation

• Lead end-to-end implementation across districts ensuring fidelity to program design across instructional gender aspiration STEM and governance workstreams.
• Operationalize district-anchored structures including Technical Support Units (TSUs) District Resource Groups micro-planning systems and quarterly review platforms.
• Oversee district readiness planning phased rollout and transition from program-led delivery to district-owned systems.
• Coordinate with district officials to conduct science fairs training sessions career guidance series review workshops and convergence meetings.

3. Capacity Building & Technical Support

• Design and lead capacity-building initiatives for government officials Master Trainers Head Teachers and teachers to strengthen instructional quality and ownership.
• Ensure training modules are co-led with district institutions and integrated into official training systems.
• Provide technical support for classroom observation structured pedagogy adoption regrouping strategies and targeted instruction.
• Build internal team capabilities for high-quality delivery data utilization government engagement and systems-change implementation.

4. Monitoring Data Systems & Quality Assurance

• Oversee implementation of monitoring systems including dashboards observation tools assessment tracking and review protocols.
• Ensure data from schools assessments QA visits and program components is consolidated analyzed and used for decision-making.
• Lead district review discussions to identify implementation gaps and design corrective action plans.
• Coordinate structured QA visits with government officials and internal teams to maintain fidelity and standards.

5. Financial Planning Compliance & Partner Management

• Track budget utilization against approved plans and milestones; ensure financial discipline and timely reporting.
• Identify onboard and manage technical partners consultants and implementation agencies.
• Ensure deliverables are completed as per agreed timelines scope quality standards and compliance frameworks.

6. Documentation & Dissemination

• Lead the development of district progress reports implementation documentation and evidence briefs.
• Anchor dissemination events district showcases and learning forums to share program outcomes and models for replication.
• Contribute to policy notes integration guidelines and institutionalization frameworks to support scale-up and government adoption.

Eligibility & Skill Requirements

Essential Requirements:

• Education: Masters degree in Education Management International Development Social Sciences or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience managing state/district-wide programs and grants in education or human capability-building sectors in partnership with government bodies.
• Domain Knowledge: Technical understanding of education management in-service/pre-service training pedagogy accelerated learning student learning assessments and teaching quality improvement.
• Technical Expertise: Specialized background in STEM or Languages.
• Systems & Scale: Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to technology-based scaling or adoption projects across human capability-building domains.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of working effectively with government agencies community leaders donors and NGOs.
• Core Skills: Exceptional project management training writing public speaking and data analysis skills.
• Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% to target blocks and districts.

Desirable Requirements:

• Ability to speak or willingness/appetite to learn Telugu.
• Experience developing/writing educational resources research papers training materials or teaching-learning materials.
• Knowledge of cutting-edge research evaluation methods and evolving policy priorities at State and National levels.
• A passion for creative problem-solving resilience patience and a good sense of humor.
