Pre-Sales Engineer – Visual Inspection

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer specializing in Visual Inspection Systems to support our sales team in designing and proposing intelligent inspection solutions for industrial clients.

This role involves understanding customer requirements designing camera-based inspection systems and working closely with OEMs internal engineering teams and clients to deliver effective and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design & Pre-Sales Support

• Understand client requirements for visual and quality inspection systems
  
• Design end-to-end solutions including cameras lighting lenses and software
  
• Prepare solution architecture and Bill of Materials (BOM)
  

2. Client Engagement

• Participate in client meetings and site visits
  
• Conduct requirement gathering and feasibility analysis
  
• Deliver demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
  

3. Technical Expertise

• Work with machine vision systems and inspection platforms
  
• Select appropriate hardware components based on application
  
• Understand integration with PLCs SCADA and automation systems
  

4. Proposal & Documentation

• Prepare technical proposals with solution details costing and timelines
  
• Support RFQs RFPs and tender submissions
  

5. Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with sales engineering and OEM partners
  
• Ensure solution feasibility and alignment with client requirements
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree in Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation / Robotics
  

Experience

• 26 years in machine vision visual inspection or industrial automation
  
• Pre-sales or solutioning experience preferred
  

Technical Skills

• Understanding of machine vision systems (camera lens lighting)
  
• Basic knowledge of image processing
  
• Exposure to PLCs and industrial automation systems
  

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills
  
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business value
  
• High ownership and proactive mindset
  

Good to Have

• Experience with AI-based inspection systems
  
• Exposure to manufacturing industries (automotive FMCG pharma etc.)
  
• Experience working with OEMs or system integrators
