Job Description – Inventory & Engineering Procurement Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead inventory optimization engineering procurement and process improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in engineering spares procurement SAP inventory management and cross-functional coordination to improve operational efficiency and reduce procurement costs.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management (Engineering Spares)

• Drive process improvements in engineering spares inventory management.
• Approve purchase orders (POs) for engineering spares and evaluate Buy vs. Stock Transfer opportunities for cost optimization.
• Coordinate with plant teams for creation of new spare codes in SAP while preventing duplicate code creation.
• Identify duplicate material codes and ensure timely deactivation in SAP.
• Work with plant teams to eliminate duplicate codes and streamline material master processes.
• Develop ABC Classification for engineering spares to identify critical and non-critical inventory.
• Define and maintain Minimum Maximum and Reorder Levels for all engineering spares in SAP.

Raw Material / Packaging Material / Chemical Inventory

• Review monthly inventory reports and monitor stock coverage against production plans.
• Analyze inventory levels across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Identify operational challenges related to procurement receiving storage and inventory management.
• Review local procurement activities including vendor quotations comparative analysis pricing and cost optimization opportunities.
• Conduct single-vendor dependency analysis and recommend alternate sourcing strategies to minimize procurement risks.

Asset & Inventory Verification

• Conduct annual physical verification of fixed assets and engineering spares across manufacturing locations.
• Coordinate asset verification using barcode-based asset management systems.
• Ensure reconciliation and sign-off from all concerned stakeholders.
• Identify obsolete non-moving or scrap inventory and coordinate timely disposal.
• Drive barcode generation and asset tagging activities across locations.

Internal Order & Process Analysis

• Perform monthly Internal Order analysis to identify process gaps.
• Coordinate with Plant Engineering SAP Teams Finance and Corporate stakeholders to improve internal order accounting and reporting.
• Recommend process improvements for better operational control.

AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) Review

• Monitor AMC performance across manufacturing facilities.
• Review machinery coverage preventive maintenance schedules service reports spare consumption and service delays.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to improve equipment maintenance effectiveness.

Process Improvement & Cost Optimization

• Identify opportunities for inventory optimization and working capital reduction.
• Standardize procurement and inventory management processes across manufacturing locations.
• Improve material master governance within SAP.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering procurement and inventory control.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Supply Chain Operations or related discipline.
• Experience in Engineering Procurement Inventory Management or Supply Chain within the Beverage / Alcoholic Beverage Industry is preferred.
• Strong exposure to Engineering Spares Procurement.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP.
• Experience managing inventory across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Strong analytical planning vendor management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Good understanding of inventory control procurement processes and cost optimization initiatives.
