Skills and Competencies

• 35 years of software engineering experience preferably with product-based companies in a backend or systems-oriented role
• Proficiency in C#/.NET for backend services and APIs
• Strong understanding of backend system design and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with cloud-native development with AWS preferred
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and observability tools
• Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Design build and maintain scalable backend services supporting Moodys SaaS products
• Develop test and maintain backend services using C#/.NET
• Write clean efficient well-documented and maintainable code
• Collaborate closely with engineers product managers and cross-functional stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and pre-production issues
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Stay current with modern development practices tools and technologies
• Support the design and operation of scalable multi-tenant SaaS systems

About the Team

The Platform Engineering team within Insurance Solutions builds the core services and infrastructure that power Moodys SaaS products. The team focuses on enabling scalability reliability and faster product delivery providing a strong technical foundation that supports innovation and growth across the organization
