Backend Software Engineer (Python Scala)

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong programming skills in Python or Scala to build scalable high-performance backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate is passionate about writing clean maintainable code and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Python or Scala.
  
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
  
• Write clean efficient and well-tested code following best engineering practices.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  
• Optimize application performance reliability and scalability.
  
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
  
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  

Required Skills

• 35 years of backend development experience.
  
• Strong proficiency in Python or Scala.
  
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming data structures and algorithms.
  
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
  
• Understanding of asynchronous programming concurrency and distributed systems.
  
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP is preferred.
  
• Experience with Docker Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
