About the Role
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) unit supports management in measuring the outcome and impact of programs and interventions using actionable learning to improve quality and relevance across all program verticals.
The Impact Evaluation Lead will enhance the organizations understanding of its programming outcomes improve internal systems and promote evidence-based decision-making. The Lead ensures that all impact measurement deliverables meet high-quality standards and can be shared effectively across internal teams and with external partners to inform key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Framework & Design: Design program impact measurement frameworks for both direct implementation models and collaborative efforts with ground-level partner organizations.
- Technical Integration: Contribute M&E and impact measurement expertise to the development of Program Theories of Change (ToCs) Logical Framework Analysis (LFAs) indicator definitions and action plans.
- System & Standard Development: Enhance organization-wide M&E standards by creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) technical guidelines specific tools and evaluation mechanisms.
- Performance Monitoring & Feedback: Track and regularly share program performance metrics with internal teams proactively flagging critical issues adverse outcomes or changing contextual needs.
- Evidence-Based Insights & Learning: Provide timely and robust technical analyses to promote learning optimize project cycle management and enable data-driven course corrections.
- Stakeholder Dissemination & Reporting: Produce publishable high-quality impact measurement reports for internal stakeholders and external implementing partners.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Coach and mentor M&E staff members to build institutional capabilities and ensure consistent evidence-based reporting.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Execution of programmatic course corrections based on empirical study findings.
- Seamless sharing of program impact metrics across internal and external stakeholders.
- Measurement of program and project outcomes in alignment with defined impact frameworks.
- Timely production and publication of high-quality impact measurement reports.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Masters Degree in Social Sciences Population Sciences Statistics or Mathematics.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in a CSR environment NGO or INGO.
- Technical & Functional: Expertise in Theory of Change (ToC) LFA quantitative & qualitative evaluation methodologies SOP development tool creation and statistical analysis.
- Behavioral: Strategic thinking strong communication leadership & team mentorship stakeholder management and analytical problem-solving.
