About Global Delivery Services

Global Delivery Services refers to EYs worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EYs strategy by ensuring effective support to EYs growth agenda.

Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80000 professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina China Hungary India Philippines Poland Sri Lanka Mexico Spain and the United Kingdom.

Client service is focused on providing Consulting Assurance Tax Strategy & Transactions and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless high-quality value-added support helping deliver exceptional client service.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective high-skilled and innovative services to support EYs global and local enablement teams. Markets BMC AWS Finance and Accounting Risk Management Procurement People Shared Services IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services are among the services offered by Enablement Services.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams along with Service Lines Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics digital user experience mobile technology infrastructure Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

The Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

• Effectively work with the PMO Development Product Management Business and Technical Operations Systems Engineering Infrastructure Networks and Architecture teams
• Design and develop middle layer services in Java and React/Angular based application
• Performs new development maintenance fixes and enhancements to meet business requirements.
• Draft and review architectural diagrams specifications business requirements as well as various design documents.
• Work with our existing technology stack (Java Linux Unix Open Source Platforms and SOA) as well as new technologies for our next generation solutions.
• Documents technical requirements program and subsystem designs resolutions to system problems project task descriptions effort estimates and unit and integration tests.
• Acquire a robust understanding of financial products services processes and organizational structure in order to find optimal solutions
• Maintain awareness of industry trends compliance concerns risk control processes and regulatory landscape
• Mentor other software developers

Skills and attributes for success

• 4-8 years of software development experience.
• Proficient in software development domain and principles including design patterns code structure programming languages continuous integration and deployments.
• 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Core Java Spring Framework Spring Boot Spring Integration
• Worked in design and architecture.
• 4-8 years of experience in java server technologies like J2EE servlets.
• 4-8 years of experience in Tomcat Maven etc. tools used for Java development
• 4-8 years of hands-on experience in API/Web Services development using protocols such as REST SOAP JSON.
• Proficient with any one DB (Oracle DB2 Sybase etc.)
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies
• Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST SOAP JSON and API design for extensibility and portability.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Knowledgeable in Financial Markets Banking or Wealth Management.
• Familiar with related non-development fields (Product UX Business Analytics Information Mapping etc.)
• Experience with JavaScript AJAX and related frameworks (REACT and/or Angular 10)
