Risk & Assurance roles are accountable for identifying measuring and mitigating risks to business processes operations and this role the focus is on using data engineering and analytics to strengthen risk oversight and assurance by building reliable data foundations producing actionable insights enabling transparent reporting and identifying red flags through structured monitoring.
This is a professional individual contributor role with a strong focus on hands-on data engineering analytics delivery and stakeholder collaboration. The role also supports the continuous improvement of GRC data reporting and monitoring capabilities.

The GRC Data Analyst Manager is responsible for delivering data engineering and analytics that support risk and control performance reporting across the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) function. The role builds and maintains data pipelines reports and tools that help stakeholders identify red flags monitor performance and make data-driven decisions. It also translates business and reporting needs into practical analytics solutions while ensuring data is reliable traceable and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering & Pipeline Management: Ingest transform and publish data for GRC reporting on insights and red flags. Maintain and evolve the reporting catalogue (datasets dashboards schedules owners).
Analytics & Reporting: Establish standardized metrics sets to analyze risk control performance and enterprise health prior to business reviews. Deliver ad-hoc analyses and deep-dives; explain trends anomalies and drivers.
Data Quality & Monitoring: Implement monitoring alerts and reconciliation checks for data refreshes and key metrics. Ensure data quality thresholds for completeness timeliness and error-rate targets are met for priority datasets.
Red-Flag Monitoring & Risk Intelligence: Develop and maintain a structured red-flag monitoring framework that systematically identifies entities requiring attention. Support risk and control reporting with robust data points and traceable evidence. Ensure all GRC-led risk assessments and re-assessments include data points to support risk rating.
Innovation & Proactive Risk Identification: Integrate insight-tools such as process mining or other AI tools into ways of working for proactive risk identification. Implement predictive measurements to forecast performance and proactively raise concerns.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into usable data products and actionable insights. Ensure dashboards and reports are clear traceable and aligned to GRC reporting needs.
Required Skills/Experience:
Proficiency in SQL and data modeling; ability to build reliable well-structured datasets and KPI layers for GRC reporting.
Experience with BI and dashboarding tools (Power BI Tableau etc.) to create stakeholder-ready dashboards and recurring reports.
Strong automation and monitoring skills; ability to automate data refreshes and implement alerts for failures anomalies and data quality breaches.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear deliverables and explain insights assumptions and limitations effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to perform root-cause analysis and interpret trends anomalies and control performance indicators.
At least 8 to 10 years of experience in data analysis data engineering or similar roles.
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Data Analytics Business Analytics Data Science Finance/Accounting or a related field
Preferred experience in Risk Management Internal Controls Auditing or GRC frameworks as well as insights into working with Finance processes.
Knowledge of process mining tools (e.g. Celonis) or AI-based analytics tools is advantageous.
Proficiency in Python and Microsoft data analysis tools.
Strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple reporting and analytics deliverables effectively
