Packaging Engineer:
Role Summary
The Packaging Engineer is responsible for the design development validation and optimisation of packaging solutions to ensure product and environment protection cost efficiency regulatory compliance and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop package solutions.
- Support packaging validation through simulated and physical testing methods.
- Collaborate with design engineering manufacturing quality service marketing procurement logistics and suppliers.
- Prepare packaging specifications drawings BOMs and customer-facing instructions.
- Support production and resolve packagingrelated issues as they occur.
- Evaluate packaging materials for performance recycled content recyclability cost and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards customer requirements and international/national regulations.
- Support continuous improvement and costreduction initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related lieu of a degree previous work experience may be considered.
- 24 years of experience in packaging or manufacturing engineering.
- Basic knowledge of packaging materials (corrugated plastics foams wood etc.).
- Familiarity with packaging test standards (ISTA ASTM preferred).
- Working knowledge of CAD tools and documentation practices.
- Strong problemsolving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with sustainability initiatives or material reduction.
- Familiarity with SAP/PLM systems and change management.
