Delivery Consultant Databases, Professional Services

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role youll work closely with customers to design implement and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. Youll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
AWS Global Services includes experts from across AWS who help our customers design build operate and secure their cloud environments. Customers innovate with AWS Professional Services upskill with AWS Training and Certification optimize with AWS Support and Managed Services and meet objectives with AWS Security Assurance Services. Our expertise and emerging technologies include AWS Partners AWS Sovereign Cloud AWS International Product and the Generative AI Innovation Center. Youll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.
Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex scalable and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. Youll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements assess current infrastructure and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers providing guidance on industry trends emerging technologies and innovative solutions you will be responsible for leading the implementation process ensuring adherence to best practices optimizing performance and managing risks throughout the project.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices which cover a variety of solutions technologies and industries.
Are you an experienced Oracle/SQL Server Platform Specialist Have you worked on Open source Database platforms like PostgreSQL MySQL MariaDB or Cassandra Have you migrated Applications from one Database Engine to another Do you like to engage with senior leadership and determine ways to optimize the IT Platforms & Infrastructure Do you like to solve the most complex and high scale data challenges in the world today Do you want to have an impact in the development and use of new platform technologies Would you like a career that gives you opportunities to help organizations understand and use cloud computing web services to do big new things faster at lower cost

You will collaborate with our internal customers and partners in AWS ProServe India LLP on key engagements for internal customers and will assist in developing and delivering proof-of-concept projects technical workshops and support implementation projects in order to migrate Applications from Oracle/SQL Server databases to Aurora-PostgreSQL/MySQL or other Open Source platforms using latest GenAI tooling available

Our professional services engagements will focus on internal customers solutions such as high volume OLTP/OLAP environments batch data processing designing and deploying future state petabyte-scale data warehouse service and building and/or designing reference configurations to enable our customers and influence AWS RDS Aurora DynamoDB and Redshift adoption.

- Knowledge of the primary aws services (ec2 elb rds route53 & s3)
- Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
- Experience in advanced SQL & ability to write complex queries from scratch from multiple tables
- Bachelors degree in business administration finance economics computer science data science engineering or other related field
- Experience in Postgres or experience in software development and experience in SQL Server/MySQL
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders

- 4 years of database administration experience or Bachelors degree in engineering technology computer science machine learning robotics operations research statistics mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience with the AWS platform web services software development or related technologie
- AWS Professional level certification or Bachelors degree in business administration finance economics computer science data science engineering or other related field
- Experience scripting for automation (e.g. Python Perl Ruby)
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
- Experience in Database like NoSQL or experience in any Bigdata architecture and experience in Hive/Spark/Hbase/Yarn
- Experience with massively parallel processing (MPP) databases - Redshift Teradata etc.
