Purpose of the position

To Target and close the top accounts operating in India with big volumes.

  • Identification of top revenue accounts in for that particular region
  • The profile includes the focus on Global and Key accounts in India.
  • Closing the account as per the prefixed deadlines.
  • Maintaining the Account as a relationship manager
  • Outstanding Collections in time.
  • Achievement of Budgeted GP & Volumes
  • To facilitate team members to generate business by making joint calls with them.

Key Tasks

Business Development.

  • To do Sales activity for DSV Air and Sea Pvt Ltd for the particular region.
  • Build Business relations with Prospects & Existing customers by regular client visits.
  • Follow-up on Quotations and obtain customer feedback.
  • Negotiate and Close deals.
  • Achieve set individual GP & Volume target set by management.
  • Generate Sales leads for Overseas Branches
  • To work towards achieving set Sales KPIs of the Branch.
  • To jointly work with the team in Trade lane development.
  • To perform regular market surveys and gauge the market pulse and keep abreast with the moves of the Competition.
  • To collect regular feedback from Customers to gauge Customer delight and effect improvement wherever necessary
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (product pricing operations) to enhance service offerings

Decision Making Authority

Authorities as delegated by the Regional Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager in accordance with DSV standards and guidelines

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working

  • Good knowledge of our products and the global trade lanes
  • Good knowledge of procurement and capacity management for air and ocean Profound knowledge markets trends and opportunities in various

Skills & Competencies

  • Influencing skills in order to focus the sales activities from several stakeholders
  • Ability to organize including prioritizing planning assigning and controlling objectives
  • Understanding of the company and sales strategy with the capability of break down the strategy to the route
  • Analytical skills e.g. sales review and performance management
  • Strong financial and business awareness thinks analytically and is skilled at identifying business opportunities and setting respective route development strategy
  • Ability to read and conceptualize financial plans for the route
  • Good ability to communicate and network with cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Result oriented and places great emphasis on customer focus

Educational background / Work experience

  • Min 5 years of freight sales experience in the industry essentially into direct sales with strong network (large size customers)
  • Gathering and analyzing of market data (various industries)
  • Worked in an international company within a matrix organization
  • Graduate/MBA

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Other languages (written and spoken) preferred

Computer Literacy

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Excel Word PowerPoint and others)
  • Good knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tools Microsoft Dynamic Tools
