We are seeking a capable and motivatedAssistant Engineering Managerto support the Engineering Manager in delivering safe reliable and highquality building operations for premium commercial assets in Singapore. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to strengthen leadership capability while gaining exposure to complex building systems and regulated environments. You will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across building services.

What this job involves

Building Operations & Engineering Support

• Support daily operations and performance ofHVAC electrical plumbing fire protection and life safety systems.
• Monitor building systems respond to operational issues and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted service and occupant satisfaction.

Maintenance & Contractor Management

• Assist in managingpreventive and corrective maintenance programsin line with statutory and client requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers review work quality and support cost and performance tracking.

Financial & Procurement Support

• Supportpurchase requisitions quotations and approvals ensuring alignment with budgets and company policies.
• Maintain finance trackers assist with cost control and support compliance with procurement and audit requirements.

Safety Risk & Regulatory Compliance

• Support compliance withBCA SCDF MOM and other relevant local regulations and codes.
• Assist in statutory inspections certifications risk assessments and regulatory reporting to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Projects & Asset Improvement

• Support the planning and execution ofasset enhancement and improvement projects including minor upgrades and refurbishment works.
• Coordinate with consultants contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely costeffective delivery.

Team Support & Development

• Support daily supervision and development of onsite engineering staff and vendors.
• Promote a strong culture ofsafety accountability and service excellence.

What were looking for

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree inMechanical Electrical Building Services Engineering or Facilities Management.
• Minimum 5 years experiencein building operations facilities management or engineering services within commercial mixeduse or industrial assets.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong working knowledge ofM&E systems critical equipment and statutory requirements in Singapore.
• Experience withCMMSand maintenance reporting tools.
• Good communication coordination and problemsolving skills with strong attention to detail.

Leadership & Career Progression

• Demonstrated readiness to take onsupervisory or assistant manager responsibilities.
• Exposure to project coordination and team support functions.
• Proactive handson and serviceoriented mindset.
