Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Implement and sustain Process Safety Management (PSM) systems across manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and global process safety standards.
- Develop and review process safety procedures standards and guidelines.
Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment
- Lead HAZOP HAZID What-If Analysis LOPA and other risk assessment studies.
- Identify process hazards and recommend risk mitigation measures.
- Monitor closure of action items arising from safety studies and audits.
Incident Investigation
- Conduct investigations of process safety incidents near misses and unsafe conditions.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Share learnings and best practices across sites.
Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate internal and external process safety audits.
- Support regulatory inspections and compliance reviews.
Process Safety Performance
- Develop and monitor process safety KPIs.
- Track leading and lagging indicators.
- Prepare safety reports and management review presentations.
Emergency Preparedness
- Support development of emergency response plans.
- Participate in mock drills and emergency preparedness activities.
- Ensure adequate risk control measures are in place for high-hazard operations.
Training & Culture Development
- Conduct process safety awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Promote a strong safety culture across operations.
- Mentor plant teams on process safety best practices.
