About HOGENT HOGENT consists of eight departments : Business and Organization; Biosciences and Industrial Technology; Healthcare; IT and Digital Innovation; Teacher Education; Environment; Graduate Programs; and Social-Agogic Work. In addition, there is the School of Arts , the E-lab , as well as the research centers . The research centers are autonomous interdisciplinary research entities of HOGENT that are responsible for research-related activities. To support the management, departments, School of Arts and the E-lab, there is an overarching administration . Each department comprises one or more educational centers . The educational center encompasses a cluster of related bachelor's programs, specializations, postgraduate programs, etc., and serves as the basic unit for each (teaching) staff member. Each member of the teaching staff is assigned to a team . A team is a group of staff members from the educational center who come together based on one or more common themes (possible examples include: same expertise, same specialization, identical curriculum).
