Bartender

We are the Melbourne Biergarten in Downtown Melbourne. We serve authentic German recipes and beer, with live music multiple nights per week. Great people and great experiences are at the center of all we do. Join our team of friendly faces and enjoy our flexible scheduling. We are seeking bartenders to add to our great team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Provide excellent customer service to everyone who visits our restaurant
• Assist diners with ordering by answering menu questions or making recommendations upon request
• Take accurate food and drink orders using a restaurant POS system and communicate order details to the kitchen staff as needed
• Inform guests about any specials and promotions
• Serve food and drink orders to guests
• Stay up to date on any menu changes and daily specials.
• Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Clear away dirty plates, glassware, flatware, etc. after guests have finished; Maintain a neat and clean bar area
• Deliver checks and process bill payments

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• 1 year of more of bartending experience preferred
• The ability to work on your feet for the duration of a shift
• Strong customer service skills
