Note: We would prefer to hire for Berlin and Tirana. However, remote would also be possible with a stellar application.

About our challenge and the Engineering Area:

In this role, you will be creating a scalable architecture and extending the existing system. You will work directly with testers and product managers to ensure quality development practices are followed to create the best possible products.

You are highly collaborative, with a proven track record of working closely with teams to influence outcomes and propose well-informed new directions. You think big and earn trust through regular and precise communication. You have strong analytical skills and a relentless determination to do what is right for customers. You can work with minimal direction and are capable of working quickly while delivering high-quality output. You are good at multitasking, juggling competing priorities, and keeping yourself organized.

As our PHP Architect, you will:

  • Be working closely with the Modeling and Dashboard Team;
  • Evaluate, plan, implement and deploy new features;
  • Profile, benchmark and instrument applications;
  • Mentor and lead your own team to write clean code to develop functional web applications;
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use;
  • Communicate, collaborate and work closely with the Engineering Team and designers.

You will be perfect for this position if you:

  • Have used PHP extensively in production projects building products and services;
  • Completed a master s/bachelor s degree, preferably in an information technology field;
  • Have advanced knowledge of SQL and working with REST-APIs (this is a must);
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment);
  • Can be hands on when needed but also have the experience to lead on technical architecture/product architecture decisions;
  • Are able to switch between tasks and prioritize them using your own initiative;
  • Have excellent problem-solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills;
  • A plus would be: knowledge of one or more programming languages like GO or Python, DevOps automation software like BigQuery or Kubernetes, or frameworks like Flask in Python or Laravel/Lumen in PHP.
