Purpose

Contribute to the overall success of Program Planning and Exeuction team ensuring specific goals plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of HRs strategies and objectives. Conducts all activities in compliance with governing regulations internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships systems and knowledge.
Champions the projects vision: Ensure the programs vision and objectives are clearly understood by the project team and applied throughout the project
Oversee and support workstream leads (if applicable) and PMs across the integrated project plan to ensure successful delivery on time and on budget achieving the projects objectives
Own integrated project plan status reporting and issue and risk management for the integrated project (identify document support/develop resolutions and mitigations) and appropriately communicate same to program leadership within the documented governance structure reporting process and escalation protocol.
Chairs Project Status meetings; supports Work Stream meetings as required; schedules meetings as necessary
Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabanks values its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk regulatory compliance risk AML/ATF risk and conduct risk.
Contributes to a high-performing inclusive work environment.
Manages a portfolio of the most highly complex operational programs from start to finish and delivers impactful results; this includes collecting and analyzing process data identifying root cause requirements gathering/validation scoping developing and implementing solutions aligning partner expectations project management and using metrics to measure and assess success and impacts.

Education / Experience / Other Information

Certification in project management (PMP) and 2 years business experience
Expert familiarity with Project management disciplines and tools
2 years running complex projects preferably with experience in an IT environment
Excellent organizational skills/relationship management/communicator/problem solving
Must be proactive self-Starter and capable of learning new ways of doing things
Capable of moving forward through complex situations prioritizing
Strong knowledge of the Bank or FIs is preferred
Fluent in English (verbal/written) is required B2

Dimensions

Uphold Scotiabank corporate PM standards
Manage financial project budgets in the range of $0.25M to $1M
Capable of supporting multiple unique and concurrent projects of medium complexity (2 to 5 projects)
Receives escalation support from direct manager

Working Conditions

Works in a standard office-based environment
Non-standard hours are a common occurrence and are based on project needs
