Must Haves:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in development of high-quality technical project documents.
- Demonstrated ability to capture complex technical input from architects and developers and translate it into clear structured and user-friendly documentation for a technical audience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
Description
- The Technical Writer will create professional technical project documentation including the development of project documents incorporating business and technical information provided by subject matter experts.
Responsibilities:
- Translate complex technical requirements into clear structured and professionally written project documents
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather domain knowledge and technical content
- Synthesize SME input into comprehensive project documentation
- Ensure documentation accurately reflects business needs and evaluation criteria
- Drive accuracy completeness and quality of project documents
- Ensure timely and efficient completion of project documentation
- Contribute to advancing organizational digital transformation objectives

- Experience with a wide range of technical writing methods tools and techniques and knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Proficiency with standard documentation and collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Office SharePoint)
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards

Additional Terms
- The term of this Engagement Assignment is for 250 Business Days with an option to extend for up to an additional 250 days at the Agencys discretion. The Engagement Assignment may be extended for unused Business Days at the Agencys discretion.
- The resource will comply with the Agencys policies and procedures.
- The Agency systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario and Agency assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario without prior written approval from the Agency.
- Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as Hybrid. The resource under this request will be required to work onsite as per Hiring Manager sole discretion.
