Position Title: Technical Assistant
Location: Regina SK
Job Type: Contract
GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Technical Assistants primary responsibilities are:
- Perform over-the-line depth of cover close interval cathodic protection surveys and voltage gradient/coating surveys on pipeline infrastructure.
- Field-level execution of assigned projects to ensure minimal project delays or downtime.
- Under the supervision of a crew lead collect interpret and understand key data as it relates to pipeline depths cathodic protection DC interference and voltage gradients such as analyzing waveform oscilloscope measurements measuring soil resistivities gathering pipe-to-soil potential and rectifier data and conducting continuity testing.
- Follow safety survey and data collection procedures for the scope of work.
- Responsible for the maintenance and operational function of assigned vehicle tools and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be physically fit willing to routinely work outdoors and able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Should have solid hands-on technical capabilities valid drivers license be willing to travel and work overtime.
- Good initiative adaptable flexible and team player.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering or Technologist program (asset).
