Job Summary

The Supervisor Family Resource Network (FRN) oversees the day-to-day operations of the Calgary City Central FRN including supervising Hub and YWCA Calgary-delivered Spoke team and ensuring alignment with FRN requirements. The role works closely with internal teams and community partners to support coordinated accessible services for children and families. A key focus is improving access to services by maintaining strong relationships with community organizations and ensuring consistent communication outreach and program information across the network. As the FRN lead the Supervisor supports structured collaboration referral pathways and system coordination. This role balances team supervision direct service and administrative responsibilities to support effective program delivery.

WHAT YOULL DO

Program Quality and Performance Management

  • Ensure FRN Hub and YWCA Calgary-delivered Spoke programming is delivered in alignment with organizational standards evidence-informed practices and FRN requirements
  • Oversee program planning scheduling and implementation to support coordinated accessible and consistent service delivery across Hub and Spokes
  • Monitor program performance data collection and reporting to ensure accuracy completeness and compliance with funder and organizational requirements
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using established outcomes and indicators identifying trends gaps and areas for improvement
  • Support continuous quality improvement by implementing adjustments to programming processes and service delivery approaches as needed

Network Coordination and Partnership Leadership

    • Lead and coordinate collaboration across Hub and Spoke partners to ensure a connected responsive network of services for children youth and families
    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with network agencies and community partners to support a coordinated continuum of services
    • Provide Hub leadership to ensure alignment of Hub and Spoke operations with FRN priorities service expectations and funder requirements
    • Promote timely and equitable access to services by supporting clear pathways to programs consistent communication and coordinated service delivery across the network
    • Work with partners to identify service gaps reduce duplication and strengthen overall network effectiveness

    Data Reporting and Continuous Improvement

      • Ensure accurate timely and complete data collection entry and reporting in alignment with FRN funder and YWCA Calgary requirements
      • Monitor program performance across the Hub and YWCA Calgary-delivered Spokes using established outcomes indicators and reporting tools
      • Analyze data to identify trends service gaps and opportunities to improve program access coordination and program effectiveness
      • Track key performance measures including service utilization referral pathways timeliness of access and client outcomes
      • Prepare and contribute to required reports including funder reporting program evaluations and annual activity reporting

      People Leadership

      • Provide effective communication and direction to ensure the team has clarity on their purpose and objectives
      • Build and foster an engaged collaborative empowered and high-performing team through strong relationships and a trauma informed respectful and safe work environment
      • Support the recruitment onboarding training and development of new team members
      • Lead a team that possesses diverse knowledge experience skills and abilities; empower team members to innovate and improve programs services systems and tools
      • Ensure appropriate cross training exists within the team to minimize operational risks

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Degree in Child & Youth Care Social Work Nursing Psychology Sociology Early Childhood Education or another related human services field
      • Minimum five years of relevant experience supporting children youth and families in community-based or human services settings including at least two years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity
      • Current CPR and First Aid certification; ASIST and NVCI training are required upon commencement of employment

      WHAT YOULL BRING

      • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating community-based programs and services including program planning implementation and day-to-day operational oversight
      • Experience building and maintaining collaborative relationships with community agencies service providers and cross-sector partners to support coordinated service delivery
      • Strong understanding of child and family-serving systems community resources and referral pathways; strong knowledge of the child welfare system
      • Experience with data collection reporting and program evaluation with the ability to interpret trends monitor outcomes and support continuous quality improvement
      • Strong organizational time management and administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other technology used for communication reporting and service coordination
